In ancient Roman, the fascinum was an embodiment of the divine phallus, it was hung in the entrance to houses - an item of apotropaic magic, charged to keep away the evil eye, bringing good luck, protection and fertility to the household.
Emilie Pugh is a British artist who studied at Byam shaw school of Art and The Ruskin School of Fine Art and currently lives and works in London.
