The process of translating my own style onto an object considerably smaller than my usual platform of work was interesting. I found that somehow unexpectedly, my work, which encompasses the human essence within nature, suited the project perfectly. Despite normally producing on large scales, I found myself drawn to the challenge and inspired by Mark Shand’s legacy and ethos and found my own. Ultimately, the art work became an expression of new beginnings and how our current state of minds are changing towards taking the divide of nature and humans down. SEED stands for a reconnection between the humans and nature on a raw level but within modernity. Biologically, pleasurably and purposefully.
