The erect member is worshipped in many cultures in actual or symbolic form, from the ancient Roman god Priapus, to the Hindu Lingam and in the contemporary west by photographers such as Tom Bianchi and Robert Mapplethorpe. With the The Pearly Prince Albert, I am taking visual cues from Roman Catholic jewel-incrusted reliquaries and other seminal visual imagery to explore this idea.
April 9th 1997, born in London. I work mainly in ceramics, and I am interested in symbols and icons with a mythological significance. I am currently a History of Art student at the University of Edinburgh.
